This is a 1900 square foot building divided into 2 units. The construction is concrete block walls and a vega (log) roof. The outside of the house is one continuous layer of spray foam. The insulation levels are R-67 on the roof and R-27 on the walls, which are stuccoed. The solar panels built into the wall below the windows heat the radiant floor for both units. Hot water is provided by the solar panels on the roof. The colored concrete floor has extra mass above the insulation to increase heat storage for cloudy days.
